Moose Mountain continues to operate our Bear Management Areas with the concept of safely providing a 100 per cent harvest.

We started with a 65 % rate and through careful development of new areas, that success had risen to 90% by year 2004.
These opportunities have proven to be equally available for both rifle and archery hunters.
Our current high success rate is due in part to keeping hunter numbers low, to having only one group in camp each week and guaranteeing that baits are hunted only once per season. As well, hunters are encouraged to set up their own tree stands to ensure they are the most advantageous to their equipment and their hunting comfort.
