As part of the amalgamated City of Greater Sudbury, (pop 150,000) the small railway community of Capreol is situated at the north end of Hwy 69 and Regional road 80. It is the starting point of a Bear management area that extends through 30 miles of wilderness north westerly to the remote rail community of Laforest.
The district is 4 1/2 hrs. drive from Toronto and 3 1/2 hrs. drive from Sault Ste Marie.
